Caitlin
Hi, I’m Caitlin! I am currently pursuing a BA in History at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in May 2020. I have a passion for education, and have 6 years of formal teaching experience abroad through international NGO’s in China, Nicaragua, Hungary, and Slovakia. On the local level, I have had one-on-one experience teaching middle schoolers in Berkeley.
Having worked with hundreds of students between 5 and 21-years-old, I will use the skills I’ve gained from my experiences with different learning styles to establish short-term and long-term goals specific to the student. Each session will be tailored to the student’s needs to maximize results. I will also teach essential study and organization skills that can be utilized in every subject area. The goal is to not only improve grades, but to help students live up to their full potential.
Additionally, I have taken many rigorous courses in History, English, and Social Studies, which has helped me become well-versed with these subjects.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and planning my days around the food I am going to eat. I also love photography, my dog, and hiking! It is important for students to find a balance between work and fun. With these tutoring sessions, the student can learn to embrace the motto, “work hard, play hard!"
