Caroline
From New York City to Los Angeles, from 5th grade through law school, my tutoring guarantees a holistic, fun, energetic, and focused sessions guaranteed to improve not only test scores, but confidence in the classroom and on tests as well.
I’ve spent the last 6 months tutoring in a range of humanities and test prep subjects, including ISEE, AP, and SAT prep, Literature, Reading, Writing, History, and study skills/ organization. I began tutoring while a student at NYU, and have continued to have long-term relationships with those students, as well as my newer students in Los Angeles.
While at NYU, I studied Drama and History, in which I wrote and Honors Thesis which recieved a sizeable research grant, as well as the distinction of the Honors Larkin Scholar of 2015. Additionally, I earned membership to Phi Alpha Theta National history Honors society, which inducts fewer than 5% of History majors nationwide.
With my degree in Drama from NYU, I have learned how to engage and provoke curiosity among those around me, and prize personal connection in my one-on-one student relationships. I served as a Teacher’s assistant while at NYU, mentoring and tutoring my students both in small groups and one-on-one. I am an actress and writer, with an incredibly flexible schedule, and pride myself on being reliable and punctual. Growing up in Fairfield County, CT, I was lucky enough to be able to work with great tutors, whom I credit with my excellent testing scores and grades in high school. I know firsthand that the college application process can be nightmarish, and I strive to be not only an intellectual resource to students, but an emotional one as well.
