Chantel
Born into a military family, I moved quite a bit as a child and have been abroad numerous times. I quickly fell in love with traveling and learning about the people living in each region I visited, as well as their unique culture, art, and cuisine. This passion encouraged me to earn a B.A. in Sociology at UCLA and pursue a Master of Social Work at USC.
My years of mentor experience at local nonprofit organizations have well prepared me for private tutoring. In addition to teaching me how to establish safe spaces for learning and growth, these organizations have improved my communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, I am sensitive to differences in learning styles and am able to adapt tutoring approaches to best fit the needs of each student I work with. I am very happy to say that I approach learning with enthusiasm and am excited to turn every experience into a meaningful opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow!
Lastly, I absolutely adore all animals and am an avid horseback rider. When I’m not on campus, at the barn, or on an adventure, I enjoy reading and spending time with friends.
