Hi, I’m David! In high school I was a National Merit scholar. I attended Grinnell College in Iowa and majored in history. I currently live in San Francisco. In addition to history, I’ve studied literature and philosophy in depth. I’m a published author of fiction as well as political analysis. I’ve also worked as a public speaker, giving talks on the history of San Francisco.

For the past few years, I’ve worked as a tutor. I tutor students taking courses in everything from Economics to Anthropology and Philosophy. Many of the students I work with speak English as a second language. While they may be fluent in their daily life, often they struggle to express abstract or complex ideas in English. I help students develop their thoughts and improve their writing skills regardless of the topic.
