As a tutor, my highest priority is my students’ satisfaction. Whether it’s getting those last 200 points for your SAT score, a lifeline for the class that’s really challenging you this semester, or simply guidance in rekindling your love for learning and confidence in academics. I’m committed to fulfilling my students’ needs. My students always gain an advanced competency in their area of focus, but I make sure they also reach their goals through a positive and empowering process that sets them up for future success in all academic areas.
I have wide experience working with students of all ages, from middle and high school students, college applicants, university students, and adults in continuing education. My areas of expertise are also diverse, and I am ready to help students master SAT math or provide general academic support to bring up GPAs in any subject. Every student is unique, but I meet students where they are and help them get to wherever they want to go. I took multivariable calculus in high school and scored 5s on seven AP courses, including A.P. US History, A.P. World History, and A.P. Environmental Science. My SAT scores were in the 97th percentile range.
You can see my versatility in my academic background. I’ve conducted cutting-edge neuroscience research at Stanford University and have published public health papers in academic journals. But I also love literature and writing, and I have performed award winning creative writing pieces in NYC, D.C., and San Francisco. In order to achieve success later on in your academic and professional career, students must have a strong proficiency in foundational skills. I took multivariable calculus in high school and scored 5s on seven AP courses, including A.P. US History, A.P. World History, and A.P. Environmental Science. My SAT scores were in the 97th percentile range. But simply chasing top test scores won’t give students a positive experience or even good results. I value mentoring students to develop strong internal motivation by discovering their own passions. I want to help students to genuinely enjoy studying and working hard because they know they are getting themselves to where they want to go (while getting great grades along the way of course!).
