Erin
Hello!
My name is Erin, and I am a rising third year student in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. I am new to teaching with Tutor Me Education, however I have been working with tutoring and teaching since I was in high school. Every student whom I’ve tutored has significantly increased in both their test scores and their interest for the subject! My style is enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable! I understand that each student has an individual way of learning and understanding material, and through my experiences I am equipped to find the way to work with each one in the best manner.
Additionally, I have spent the last year working with a non-governmental organization called United Technologies for Kids that promotes STEM education in developing countries through the implementation of makerspaces and social innovations in schools. I worked in Lima, Peru as a volunteer teacher with students ranging from first grade to senior level in high school, teaching engineering skills such as Computer Aided Design, introductory Computer Science, and Circuitry. I have also tutored Algebra and Algebra 2 for local high school students in my neighborhood. I have experience in teaching in both the one-on-one and group settings, and I believe that this has equipped me to be a versatile and competitive candidate as a tutor.

Hobbies
I have many passions and hobbies, but my main ones include playing guitar, learning languages, and building amateur rockets! I love things that involve design and developing an idea while also allowing for creative elements. I would describe myself as laid back as well as driven, which I believe allows me to take the time to see a goal through with patience and care. I am looking forward to working with students in a way that best fits their learning style so they feel comfortable and confident!
