Felipe
Hey, everyone!
My name is Felipe and I recently finished my undergraduate studies at University of California San Diego. My academic journey was definitely challenging, but I was able to succeed and overcome every challenging course with the help resource centers at UCSD provided me. I understand no one is perfect and some may need a little extra help to tap into their full potential.
With that said, I hope to be able to provide the necessary support to help you do well on any upcoming test, or get a little more help to better understand any subject.
A little bit about me is that I love Science! I get excited just talking about how scientists are conducting cutting-edge research that can potentially impact the way we live in the future. During my undergrad, I was heavily involved in conducting research in a Plant Biology laboratory. I have taken courses dealing with microbiology, cellular biology, and immunology to name a few. Most of my recent experience with tutoring students is in my research lab. Most of the lab techniques we use are very sophisticated and, as a result, can be very confusing. I make sure to take any extra time to create a solid base with any new lab member before adding any new information, or moving forward with a new lab technique. Nevertheless, during the time I was in high school, I volunteered for 2 years tutoring students in Algebra-2 Math, Biology, and Spanish. Lastly, I was recently accepted into UCSD’s Master’s program and I plan to continue conducting research for the years to come. I want to take this opportunity to learn to code, strengthen my knowledge of Science and potentially discover something impactful in my research.
