I’m a professional writer and dedicated tutor with eight years experience who combines a hands-on approach applying my real world experience with proven educational techniques to help my clients master their courses in a way fits for them. As someone who was always a bit of an outside the box thinker (and a relentless extrovert), I know all too well how disengaging the standard class lecture format can be for some — and how much personalized, one-on-one instruction can unlock the potential we all have! I have worked with high school, college, and graduate level students with a variety of demands, be it passing a particularly tough course or acing a preparatory test (I became an expert in the Kaplan course for the SATs during my time in college. All of my students have improved their grades or hit their desired scores after working with me.

Of course — as a working writer — my specialty is certainly in the area of essay writing. Whether you’re looking to general improve your composition skills, or for helping crafting a particularly important application piece (personal statement for college admissions, statement of purpose for graduate programs, etc), I know what it takes to turn the brilliant thoughts in your head into beautifully composed works that eloquently and confidently demonstrate your abilities to the reader. All of my students have seen marked improvement, including acceptance to their preferred university/program.

How have I found such success? Because I know each student is different. We don’t all learn on a straight line. Some things work better for some off us and don’t work for others. This in mind, as I get to know my students, I tailor a specific session plan to my clients’ individual needs. Success is available for all of us — we just have to figure out the right road to get us there. That’s where I come in.

Outside of tutoring, I work in the film industry and have been crafting cinematic stories for the last four years. In my spare time, I love traveling, trying new food, and drinking entirely too much coffee.
