Hello! I am a tutor with several years experience and a recent Columbia University graduate on a glide year before Medical School. I specialize in scientific and humanities tutoring, after excelling in my own education of competitive boarding schools and universities.

I’ve found that the reason most students struggle is because they lack a full grasp of fundamentals and tend to memorize things through cramming. I teach my students to study smarter not harder through spaced repetition learning through software like Anki or Brainscape. This technique requires only a few minutes per day to master the fundamentals and then put those concepts into practice through problems and assignments.

My ideal student is curious and creative, but may need someone to give them structure to understand the material and then relate it to the world in an engaging way. I like working through problems and concepts on a high level and then getting the fine details perfect to achieve success on test day.

On a personal level, I like to connect with my students. Making sure we are friendly helps me motivate them to excel in their courses. My hobbies are rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding. I also am the founder a wellness beverage company launching this spring.
