Hi there!

It has been 10 years since I started tutoring students between 5 and 11 years old. I have worked with children in public schools and children who are home schooled, tutoring English writing, reading, some elementary math, and Mandarin Chinese. I have also assisted college students with their college essays, study skills, time management, as well as stress management. I started privately teaching piano and violin over 10 years ago to youth between 5 and 12 years old. I love music and am passionate about seeing children grow up healthily, feeling supported and loved in the whole process. I value relationship with my students and their families and have found that effective learning happens best in environments that are supportive and knowledgeable of the student’s strengths, needs, and progress. Therefore, I will do my best to regularly communicate with not only my students but also with their parents and teachers.

As one who has faced and conquered her own challenges and fears, I have the heart and eyes to see you reach your goals even when it feels almost impossible (I really believe that anything is possible!). With me, you can feel comfortable in asking me the same questions over and over again until you really receive understanding. You will gain a friend who cheers for you when you need a cheerleader. You can be transparent and vulnerable with me in how you feel, because I will be your biggest listener and encourager, walking alongside you when you feel like giving up.
