A true bibliophile, I can help with any and all aspects of reading and writing, from basic comprehension to college application essays. I have a B.A. in English and a Master’s in Secondary English Education from Virginia Tech, and recently signed with Random House for a young adult novel to be published in the fall of 2020. I have been tutoring for the past ten years and have helped countless students understand their assigned readings as well as write effectively and persuasively. The improved grades don’t hurt either!
As someone with a sensitive and creative mind, I can work with students who are insecure about their reading and writing abilities, or those who may need a more gentle approach. I also especially enjoy tutoring students who lack enthusiasm for literature because I have more than enough for the both of us. Reluctant readers? Frustrated writers? I live in Austin with my husband, two very fat guinea pigs, and a dog that does not know about the guinea pigs. I write murder mysteries for teens, watch too much Netflix, and read everything I can. My favorite books will always be the Harry Potter series and I am a proud Huffepuff--go Puffs!
