Nick
Hello, my name is Nick! I graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Science, Technology, and Society as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering. As the son of two educators, I have always valued not only my own learning, but also the chance to share my knowledge with others in ways that help them reach higher levels of understanding.
I started tutoring other students in junior high and gathered further mentoring experience through my first year of college at SMU’s Summer Youth day camps coaching and teaching classes that combined educational concepts with fun activities. While at Stanford, I was a teaching assistant for the graduate level Design sequence in the Mechanical Engineering Department, which is centered around product design and draws from multiple technical fields.
I’m an excellent communicator who knows how to change my teaching approach when things aren’t working. Having a good understanding of material lets me explain things from different angles to make sure to build understanding, not just knowledge.
I’ve always been a strong test-taker, scoring highly on the ACT, SAT, and GRE, and earning the titles of National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction. My tutoring expertise spans multiple levels of Math, Physics, History, and standardized tests.

In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, golf, playing the drums, and teaching myself the ukulele. I love keeping up with the news and rarely miss any of the political comedy talk shows.
