Sean
Hello! My name is Sean, I am a pre-med student currently applying to medical schools and excited to tutor students of all ages in math and science! I am no stranger to learning, having graduated from MIT and then obtaining a PhD in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA, but then deciding to change careers into medicine. I have experience teaching students of all ages as both an individual tutor and teaching assistant, and I specialize in teaching math, physics, and chemistry subjects up to the college level.
I am passionate about teaching and learning, and am committed to supporting my students to help them reach their goals. I understand that learning relies on sustained practice, iterative growth, constructive feedback, and individual tailoring. As a patient, accountable, empathetic, and caring teacher, I am always willing to listen to the needs of the student and work to do what’s best for them. Through open and honest communication and building strong personal relationships, I hope to enable students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, and to enjoy the process of learning!
