Shauna
I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles graduating this June! I am majoring in Economics and minoring in Entrepreneurship. My rigorous workload at UCLA has challenged me to create effective study skills and habits, as well as ways in which to manage my time and any academic obstacles that have come along the way.
While I have a passion for learning in all subjects, my specialty is mathematics. My style of tutoring comes from the habits I’ve created for myself – time management, organization skills, and devotion to working hard. I highly relate to students who at times feel stressed and confused, but my goal is to help you overcome that feeling and find that passion for understanding, learning, and performing well in school.
I have experience teaching elementary and middle school level Math, Social Science, Science, and English. I have also helped write college essays, as well as tutored in high school level Math and English.
Outside of tutoring, I have led and taught groups in my extracurriculars such as charity clubs and dance teams. I find that I develop strong relationships with every person and team that I work with because I become invested in everything I set myself out to do.
After graduation, I will be working as a full-time Wealth Management financial analyst for JP Morgan Chase & Co. I am confident that I will take the communication skills, work and study habits, time management skills, and all the relationships I develop with me long term!
